I just picked up a bottle of the Balboa Rye and I’m excited to try it. Far North Spirits are also making some great rye and corn mashbills and some single varietal ryes. I had a really great 6 year old BIB Hazlet Rye that was really complex spicy flavors.
New York Distilling has a (delicious) rye called Jaywalk Heirloom Rye that features Horton Rye, which they state is “an heirloom rye varietal not commercially grown since the 1800s”.
